You can gain confidence. It is worth working on
I can’t gain confidence, it’s not meant for me. I’ll never be like them. I’m not pretty enough. I’m not good enough. I hate myself Stop! This is not true. I know, because I used go believe that stuff too, but I figured out how, are you ready to learn how?
You can gain confidence.
Quit it saying those words to yourself. They’re not true. You are worthy, amazing, beautiful. You are a great human, a parent maybe and I’m betting you are a bloody good one. You may not believe it now, but it’s true. Your beautiful family, they love you for everything you are right now and that is why you should believe those things.
I know that won’t help though. Don’t feel bad because you don’t believe those things. Yes, they see you that way, it’s true. I also know that you could have 1 million people tell you those things and it won’t make a difference to how you feel about yourself. Why do I know this? Because I’ve been there myself.
It doesn’t matter how many people tell you nice things if you don’t believe it yourself it’s not going to suddenly change how you see yourself.
Confidence can be changed though
You deserve to be feeling amazing about yourself.
Sit and think, or write down all the things you would feel if you had the confidence that you see others with.
1. How would you feel if you had as much confidence as you want?
2. What. Would that confidence do for you?
3. How would you having confidence change your families lives?
4. What would you want to do with your life if you had the confidence to pursue it?
5. What traits or things would you see in a woman who would make you think they were confident?
6. In what ways could you use those traits and add them into your life?
E.G. She’s always standing tall and looking forward. Could you start doing this too?
7. Write a list of at least 10 things you can do everyday to help you become that confident person?
What if I told you that you could be that person, have those things and change you and your families lives that way?
You can. It’s possible.
My confidence Story
I wanted to share the story with you because I feel it may help you. This is one of the pictures I had before I started working on my confidence and one of the many of after. I can see the difference in my confidence here, my makeup, everything. My eyes tell it all.
First time meeting a friend
I was dying to meet a wonderful woman once and I finally had that opportunity. When she came up to me and asked me if I was okay, I shut down completely, do you ever do that too? I couldn’t look at her, I couldn’t speak to her to answer her question and, I couldn’t have the selfie with her that I was dying to get. What I really wanted to do was run away and cry just because someone spoke to me. I only wanted to say hi and tell her how much I wanted to meet her and that I wanted a picture with her and I couldn’t do it. My confidence levels were still rock bottom at that point. Does this sound like you?
Second Time Meeting the Same Friend
A few months later, I met her again. She was talking to some friends of mine and I wanted to say hello. I was scared, but I had worked consistently on my confidence. I was aware she hadn’t noticed me standing there and that she was about to zoom off and get ready for the day. At the end of the conversation she was having I stood up, held my head high and walked up to her like the amazing, badass, confident woman I am. I touched her arm, said her name and gave her the biggest hug ever.
If you’d have known me at all, you’d know I don’t do hugs. I just don’t like physical contact with anybody other than my husband and child. To say this was the most confident I had ever felt was an understatement. My point, if you work on gaining your confidence levels and do it consistently, no matter what. You can gain confidence too.
